Phlegm Gadget
Phlegm Gadget is the solo goregrind noise music project of Jon Vaughn of Saskatoon, SK. Phlegm Gadget’s hard copy releases include “Gorelord” (2006, 3”CDR, Pop Quiz Ltd), “Acapellatronica and Other Favourites” (2006, CDR/Tape, Pop Quiz Ltd), and “Improv Y2K MP3 CD” (2006, CDR, Village Tapes). Online, Phlegm Gadget has released two EPs entitled “Crawling Flesh” (2005, MP3, Pop Quiz Net) and “Improv Y2K MP3 EP” (2006, MP3, Collective Audio). Continuing from where Phlegm Gadget’s last release “Gorelord” left off, Vaughn is working on a new batch of works that further explore the influence of horror films and comics and indulge his macabre sense of humour and slimy playfulness. To mark the Phlegm Gadget performance at Neutral Ground in Regina in June of 2007, Vaughn will present and release the hard copy of an explosive new work entitled “Phlegm for Frankenstein”.
